WKF Youth World Cup Corfu – 2 Competitors 2 Bronzes.

Rachel and Jack Newey have just returned from a week of karate training in Corfu.

Students from all over the world trained together with world class level instructors – three sessions per day – providing an excellent opportunity to learn new techniques, a new Kata and some invaluable fitness interval training and stretch routines.

At the end of the week students entered the World Youth Cup competition where Rachel and Jack both won a bronze medal.

Jack was in a really tough field (Boys Cadets) which included the current World silver medallist from Iran and he performed superbly to secure the bronze medal.

Like brother Jack, Rachel progressed very well was unlucky to lose in the semi finals of the Girls Juniors Macedonia, but stormed back in the repo-charge final to win 5-0 for bronze.

Sensei Sat commented "Rachel and Jack are true ambassadors for the club and their country. We all at KKC are very proud of all their achievements and this week again shows how talented our students really are! Well done guys from all at the club!!!"
